Secular Week of Action 2022

The Secular Week of Action is the alternative to the National Day of Prayer. Between April 29th-May 8th, we'll be collecting period products for the Girl Flo Project to benefit the students at Leon County Schools. Approximately 20% of teens struggle to access period products, and as a result, about 84% of them have missed school or know someone who has.

You can drop off tampons, pads, and menstrual cups at any of the sites listed below. If you would like to make a monetary donation, please use the "Donate" link below or just email us. We're updating the drop-off locations list daily, but if you are unable to make it to one, email us to arrange for a pick-up.

Drop-off Locations

  • Ology at Power Mill (2708 Power Mill Ct Suite A, Tallahassee, FL 32301)

  • Unitarian Universalist Church of Tallahassee (2810 N Meridian Rd, Tallahassee, FL 32312)

On May 1st, we had our first in-person event for the Secular Week of Action. We made assembled hygiene packs for our collaboration with Trinity UMC. We also put together over 100 snack-hygiene packs for own giveaway. We hold these every month or two, so check back on our calendar or social media for more info!

We've also been approved to build a Little Help Shelf! Help Shelves are like the small community libraries you see, except they will have canned food, clothing, and toiletries for the community members. Thanks to a generous grant from the Foundation Beyond Belief, we're building our shelf near Sabal Palms Elementary School. Our first construction party will be held on Saturday, May 14th, at 1 PM. This event will be held in Cairo, GA, at the home of one of our board members. Since this is a private residence, please email us for directions and additional information.
